I have spent a lot of time and money trying to find the perfect sun hat for my kids....you know, the one that will

It features a full brim that continues around the sides of the head to shade the entire face, including the nose, cheeks, and ears. The rear veil offers sun protection for sensitive neck skin. On the Child and Youth sizes, side mesh panels allow heat release to keep the head cool and comfortable, while a sliding adjuster at the back enables a custom fit.
The Youth size has a cord with adjustable lock; the Child, Baby, and Infant sizes have a ""Smart Strap" -- an adjustable chin strap with a breakaway feature for safety.
This hat has a UPF rating of 50 (Excellent). Given that experts warn that over 50% of cumulative sun burn damage to the skin occurs before the age of 18, this is the hat to have to protect your baby's delicate facial skin.

SIZING FOR NEW STYLE
Use
a soft measuring tape or a piece of string or dental floss to measure
the circumference (crown) of your child's head at the widest point,
above the eyebrows and ears. Measure the string or dental floss with a
ruler. If your child is between sizes, order the next size up.
