The Kozy Carrier is a modern version of the Chinese mei tai ("may tie"), also known as an MT or Asian baby carrier (ABC). With wide padded shoulder straps, a padded curved head support, and sturdy, durable fabrics, the Kozy was designed for the comfort of both you and your child. Its generously sized body will not only support your child's legs, bum, and back, but will also grow with your child. It can be used from birth through toddlerhood and beyond, making the Kozy an excellent value.
You can wear your little one on your back (even a newborn -- really!), on your front facing in or out, or on your hip. You can easily and discreetly breastfeed in the Kozy. The Kozy can be worn comfortably by wearers of different sizes -- and it's even comfortable for pregnant mamas.
The design itself is amazingly simple. The Kozy is a rectangle of fabric with four fabric straps. You tie the short straps around your waist, and you put the long padded straps over your shoulders (either straight like a backpack or crossed) and then tie them in the back or wrap around to tie in the front.
The Kozy's extremely sturdy fabrics give the body the stability it needs to carry heavier weights comfortably and safely. A secret pocket is included on the end of one of the top straps, big enough to hold credit cards or money. The Kozy comes with a pattern on one side and either natural or black fabric on the other. It can be reversed to wear the plain fabric side out, and you can also get an optional large pocket for the patterned side.
