The BabyHawk Mei Tai is a stylishly modern interpretation of a traditional Asian baby carrier. The BabyHawk is versatile, comfortable, and functional for babies from the newborn stage through toddlerhood and beyond, and can be used to wear your child on your front, your back, or your hip. It also enables discreet breastfeeding.
Both the waist straps and the top straps are padded in "channels," so that the padding will not move around. The fabric is a sturdy, heavy-duty yet soft twill that will give you the support you need while cradling your baby in cushy comfort. The newest design of the BabyHawk incorporates a padded headrest that can be turned up for head support or turned down when your child wants to see the world.
The BabyHawk version is suitable for newborns through toddlerhood, and will often be the only size needed. The ToddlerHawk version is three inches taller in the body, and is meant for children at least 18 months and older, although many people who prefer a taller-bodied carrier use the ToddlerHawk with younger babies and children. On either version, it is easy to roll the bottom up once or twice to make the carrier shorter as needed.
